Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Innovative Physical Therapy, Warrenton, VA

Our clinic serves adults and older teens, helping them achieve optimal mobility and pain relief through personalized physical therapy programs. We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our collaborative team and make a meaningful impact on patient recovery and well-being.

Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist at Innovative Physical Therapy, you will assess patients’ physical conditions, create and implement personalized treatment plans, and utilize evidence-based techniques to help patients achieve their goals. Your role will involve working with a variety of patient conditions, focusing on pain relief, mobility improvement, and fitness-oriented health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with patients to assess their physical condition and understand their goals for therapy.
  • Evaluate and interpret patient evaluations and test results to develop accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of physical therapy techniques to meet each patient’s needs.
  • Administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed, targeting pain relief, strength improvement, and mobility restoration.
  • Guide patients on exercise techniques, including stretches, strengthening exercises, and other therapeutic activities.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, proper ergonomics, and strategies to maintain or improve physical health long-term.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and medical assistants, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately, maintaining clear and concise records in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensing: Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
  • Certification: Must have passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE).
  • Experience: Prior experience in physical therapy is preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
    • Ability to problem-solve independently and develop effective treatment strategies.
    • Proficient in using computer software for documentation and patient management.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to providing compassionate care.
    • Analytical thinking to assess and improve patient outcomes.
    • A strong desire to learn and stay current with new treatment techniques and evidence-based practices.
    • Ability to manage diverse patient populations with varying personalities and needs.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program is a plus.

Position Overview: 

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist to assist with patient care and rehabilitation. This is a hands-on role in which you will provide therapeutic interventions, such as modalities, exercises, and manual therapy techniques, to support patient progress. You will collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure the effective implementation of treatment plans, track patient outcomes, and adjust interventions as necessary.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in carrying out individualized treatment plans as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities, exercises, and rehabilitative therapy as directed.
  • Track and document patient progress, making modifications to treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while fostering a positive, engaging environment.
  • Work closely with the Physical Therapist to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on exercise routines, home programs, and proper techniques to aid recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date treatment records and patient documentation.   Foster teamwork and contribute to a collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Virginia.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care and rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Passion for helping others and a positive, energetic attitude.
  • Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy is preferred, but not required.
